As an innovator, I love to create things that have never existed before. I enjoy the delightful process of blending my mechanical engineering and healthcare knowledge with an industrial design skill set to make useful and meaningful products.

To me, designing is a responsible creation of useful things

I hail from the southern part of India and now reside in The Netherlands. I received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from VIT University in India. After working for two years as a Product Design Engineer, I moved to The Netherlands to pursue my master’s in Industrial Design at TU Delft.

I graduated with an MSc in Integrated Product Design with a specialization in medisign. I am currently looking for opportunities to make a valuable impact in healthcare by making products more efficient and accessible.

Ambitious and Inventive

A great zeal for invention to improve the way we live has pushed me towards new endeavors in my life. The genuine aesthetic forms inspired by functionality and the technical aspects of manufacturing help me design to improve the health and lifestyle of people. I have a flair for ideas and an aptitude to work on each stage of the process that brings a design to life. In my previous roles, I had multiple opportunities to work on some of the most innovative products in consumer electronics and healthcare. Starting from the conceptual stage, I solely developed a few of the products through sketching, product architecture, CAD, analysis, prototyping, testing, until the tooling phase. Some of these products are now available in the market and it gives me a great deal of satisfaction to have been a part of their journey.

Experience

Industrial Designer, Laerdal Medical

Working on the development of an advanced birthing simulator to help healthcare professionals train midwifery and obstetric students. Working closely with Prpduct managers in conducting user research and translating user requirements into feasible concepts for the development team. Additionally, taking intitives for establishing the Design Language of the simulator, which contributed to the company’s overall design guidelines for human-like products.

Also, worked on introducing Mixed Reality as a new training modality for the birth simulator, conducting thorough research on the technology, user acceptance, and finding the best applications to complement the physical manikin. This was a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s portfolio, as it was their first time offering a Mixed Reality solution.
